Happy new year! I can’t believe its 2012 already! I was just trying to grab a hold of 2011!

I have been thinking about a lot of goals for the year and reading lots of blogs and inspiration of the sort. Here is a quote that was on Justin & Mary’s facebook “‎If you don’t have time to write down your goals, where are you going to find the time to accomplish them?” via @designaglow”.

Its so true! So, I am challenging myself to sit down and seriously think about what I want to accomplish personally and as a photographer. I will be posting back soon. I am challenging you to take time to think about what passed you by in 2011 and what you want to grab a hold of in 2012!

Adorable Dogs at the Lynchburg Humane Society!

24 12 2011

Merry Christmas Eve! I hope you are having a wonderful, relaxing weekend surrounded by family and friends. I am currently sitting here with a peppermint white mocha and that just makes my day every time!

In the midst of the Christmas business I have finally found time to post these!

There is a special spot in my heart for the animals at the Lynchburg Humane Society.  My adorable dog, Chloe, (who is the topic of previous posts) was adopted from the Humane Society.  I stop by frequently to get to know these precious animals that are in need of homes.

At Coffee Break, we had a Christmas tree decorated with dogs in need of homes for the holidays. The problem is, a lot of the pictures were not good quality and hardly reflective of the dog’s personality. One Friday afternoon I spent some time getting to know some of the dogs and taking better pictures. Here are some of my favorites!

This is Hugo! Despite his big bark, he is the world's biggest snuggler!

This is Sloan. She's shy at first, but once she warms up to you she loves to play!

Andie and Sloan are kennel mates and best friends. Andie is adorable and bundles off fun!

Lucky has such a great personality and who couldn't love that one eared look?

The graceful beauty is Alette. She was so calm and well behaved. She has been adopted!

This absolutely beautiful boy is Webster! He has the cutest head tilt!

Bently, boy this guy was full of energy and lots of fun!

This is Conrad. He was very adorable and loved exploring!

Cookie was so sweet and lovable. She climbed up on the picnic table and looked at me with this puppy face.

Bruno was a small little guy. He was shy at first, but enjoyed an ear scratch. He has been adopted too!

Pamela was a sweet girl who definitely loved to explore.

Last, but not least is Teddy. He is a beautiful, spunky boy that will just steal your heart.

This picture was a huge hit at the Humane Society! Go Teddy!

I hope that I have the time to go back and take more pictures so more sweet dogs have a better chance of finding a forever home.

Have a wonderful Christmas!

Yes, its been forever!

Hey blog follwers that may still be there! Its been absolutely forever since I’ve written. I got off on this studying for the Medical College Admissions Test tangent combined with applying for Med school and being sick. Its no excuse, but here I am looking at my last post from APRIL! My apologies!

I’m taking pictures again and very excited about whats coming soon! Lets just say that there is a lot to catch up on! I hope you’ll stick around to see.

For now, Happy Friday!

I’ve been slacking again! This time I have an excuse. I seriously can’t stand Verizon. Our modem was struck by lightening this weekend and they told us we’d have a new one on our doorstep by Tuesday. Well, its Friday and I’m at work blogging because we still don’t have our modem. Hours of phone conversations and we’re still in the same place…Good thing we’re leaving for the Caribbean on Sunday! I’m cutting myself off from social media, my phone etc for the week while we’re gone, so then I’ll really have an excuse to not be blogging.

In the meantime, heres a wonderful, self-photo of Dan and I from the other night when we were up on the mountain after the sunset! …unedited and cheesy flash and all 😉

Hope everyone has a wonderful Good Friday and a blessed Easter. He is risen!

The clouds rush across the sky and I feel like the whole world is still moving slower than I am. The flowers that appeared in early spring are gone and replaced my different artwork from the hand of God. Is it almost the end of April already?

This week has been crazy! I have been working crazy hours for both jobs and I am officially stressed. Last night instead of heading out swing dancing like we normally do on Thursday nights, Dan and I made cookie dough truffles. Let me just say, they are AH-MAZ-ING! I thought I would post the link on here to inspire anyone who love cookie dough remotely as much as I do!

I have no idea how to make that look pretty and hyperlinked in this blog. I am def learning all this stuff. Boy am I behind on the times! I so wish I had more time to learn blogging, websites, graphics, and camera techniques and editing. I love what I’ve been able to learn, but there’s so much more!

Enjoy your baking!

Oh yes! I’m a photographer

I haven’t been very great about blogging this past week. I spent most of the weekend watching Jasmine Star on creativeLIVE, which was great. Sooo much information to take in all in a few days! She’s so inspirational though.

Today I got my first photography job. Its not really what I imagined I’d be doing, but I am thankful for the opportunity. I am going to be photographing clothes, shoes etc for a company that sells clothes on ebay. Its going to be fun to learn more about lighting and being creative with what I have. One more step to becoming a wedding/portrait photographer.

I’m also really excited that its finally warming up so hopefully I’ll have some pictures of adventures to post soon.

I hope you had a wonderful weekend and that your Monday isn’t too bad, as far as Mondays go…

Springtime means color and new life! Fresh beginnings and warmer days. I loooove it! I adore flowers and the clean air that blows through my apartment. Its so much happier than winter.

I like to make my apartment different from all the others with welcome mats and wreaths. Working at a florist/coffee shop is definitely an inspiration, but I can’t afford all those beautiful things. So, I decided to put together my own wreath. After lots of shopping and flower matching and hot glue and wire cutting, this is my very colorful, perfect-for-me springtime wreath!

I’ll make you one if you want. 😉
